Biometric Data Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Plain language summary

We use your camera to scan your face for 30 seconds. We analyse the scan using AI and then delete it immediately. We never store your video. We never share it. The only thing we keep is the interpreted result — your gut health protocol.

1. What Biometric Data We Collect

GutLens temporarily processes facial video during the 30-second biometric scan. This constitutes "biometric information" under applicable US state laws including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), and the Washington My Health DATA Act.

Specifically, we process: facial geometry patterns, iris structure, scleral vascularity, tongue morphology (optional 5-second scan), and green channel pixel data for rPPG heart rate variability extraction.

2. How We Use It

Your biometric video is used solely to generate your personalised gut health protocol via the GutLens Hexad Protocol™ AI analysis engine. It is not used for any other purpose.

3. Deletion — Immediately After Analysis

Your biometric video is deleted immediately after your analysis is complete. It is never written to persistent storage. A deletion confirmation log is created in our database confirming the removal, which you may request access to by contacting privacy@hivibe.world.

The only data retained after deletion is the interpreted analytical output — your gut health score, protocol recommendations, and anonymised research data. None of these constitute biometric identifiers.

4. No Sale or Third-Party Disclosure

We will never sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your biometric data. We will not disclose your biometric data to any third party except as required by law or with your express written consent.

The AI analysis is performed via Anthropic's Claude API. Video frames are transmitted securely over HTTPS and are not retained by Anthropic after processing.

5. Your Consent

You provided explicit written consent to biometric data collection when you created your GutLens account. The date and time of your consent is recorded in our systems. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account — contact privacy@hivibe.world.

6. Retention Schedule

Biometric identifiers and biometric information: deleted immediately after analysis — maximum retention 60 minutes during active processing.

Deletion log records: retained for 3 years for compliance documentation purposes.
